SPORTS DAY

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held in the school grounds for the three consecutive days in the last week of December, with each class showcasing its performance on the scheduled date. The dip in the temperature did not the dampen the spirits of the students and teachers. The programme for each day started with school shabad sung by the school choir group. The Welcome Speech by Director Sir set the tone for the rest of the day. The Welcome Song, the drill presentations and the races by the little toddlers filled the air with festivity and mesmerized the parents and the guests. The distribution of certificates to the winners further added to the joy of the children and their parents. The Tug of War, Dog and the Bone game and the Musical Chairs were the attractions for the parents on the three days. The p

rogramme was enjoyed by one and all. The Vice Principal ma’am thanked everyone and appreciated the efforts put in by the little toddlers, their parents and teachers to make the programme a success.

 

      

      

            

                           Nagar Kirtan

Students of Classes VI- IX took part in Nagar Kirtan organized by the parent body of the school i.e. Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Punjabi Bagh. Our students participated with great zeal. Nagar kirtan which was carried out to mark the Parkash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Nagar Kirtan began from Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Satsang Sabha, East Punjabi Bagh and culminated at Gurdwara Sahib, Sri Guru Singh Sabha, West Punjabi Bagh. Students were taken a good care of by the sangat of Punjabi Bagh and they were served with langar all through the route!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

Kirtan Darbar

 

Guru Nanak Public School, Pushpanjali Enclve Pitam Pura organised Kirtan Darbar to celebrate 550th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 7th December 2019. A glorious start with recital of Nove Mohale ke Salok followed by engaging Gurbani Kirtan recital in different ragas by  section wise school choir and by Ragi  Bhai Gurmail Singh ji  saw the sunrise in an aura of sprituality.  Guru Nanak's religion of love is cosmic and universal was highlighted by the students through Sakhi's , speeches on his udasis and Poems recital. The day saw ensemble of disciples, Chairman S Amarjeet Singh Bindra ji, Manager S Jasbir Singh Chawla ji, Director S. J.S. Ghuman ji , other revered members of Management , Parents and School students.  Meritorious students of the session 2018-19 were awarded certificates under the blessings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Orientation Programme 2021-22

 

Guru Nanak Public School, Pitam Pura organized a Virtual Orientation Programme from Preschool to class I on 6th April 2021. The main objective of this orientation programme was to lay the foundation for the new students and acclimatize them with the systems, structures and ethos of the school . The day commenced with a welcome speech. Dr. Renuka Kamal, the Vice Principal of the school, extended a warm welcome by sharing her thoughts which was followed by a small video giving an insight of the school. The new entrants were introduced with their respective teachers. The Kindergarten teachers, Ms. Shweta Kochar and Ms. Jasmeet Kaur explained the teaching pedagogy. The students of class I, Harshit Sethi and Ekam Kaur shared their experience about the school. Approximately 180 participants attended the programme .  REPORT ON BHARAT KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV

The quiz was held on 5, August, 2021 which was on the topic *Wetlands*. It was the online quiz which was taken from MS teams website. The event was conducted by the school's Eco club to encourage students to gain general knowledge and to sensitize students about vanishing wetlands and their affects on our surroundings .

There were total of 3 teams. Every team had 3 members who were from class 8th.

In this quiz each team was asked a question and they got 30 seconds to answer, if the team was not able to answer then the question was passed. Each question was of 5 Mark's and if it was passed to another team it was a bonus for question of 3 Marks. If any team gave wrong answer then our teacher coordinator gave every single information about the question very well. In last 2 rounds there were descriptive questions and all teams did very well and in last the team team B was declared the winner of the quiz by 48 points. Overall, the online quiz competition was huge triumph.
